Department Of Post invites applications for the following post. The details in this prospectus are applicable to recruitment of meritorious sportspersons for the following posts

Job Details :

1] Job Position : Postal Assistants in Post Offices
2]  Job Position : Sorting Assistants in Railway Mail Offices
Vacancies : 04 posts
Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 + Grade pay of Rs.2400 + admissible allowances.
Age limit : 18- 27 years
Eligibility Conditions:

• Pass in 10+2 standard or 12th class pass with at least 60% marks, from recognised University / Board of School Education, Board of secondary education with English as a compulsory subject (excluding vocational/JOC streams).55% for Other Backward Classes and 45% for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes.
• The candidates should have studied local language of the state i.e should have studied Kannada as a subject or Hindi at least in Matriculation or equivalent. 
• Candidates with higher education are also considered but they have to fulfil the requirements mentioned in sub para a to b above. There are no bonus marks for higher education.
• Candidates who have passed 12th standard/10+2 in vocational course or Job Oriented Course (JOC) are not eligible. 
• Desirable qualification: Typing knowledge and Computer Knowledge. 
• Sports Qualification‐ as per (6) below.

Selection Procedure : Selection of candidates will be made on the educational and sports qualification and marks secured in field trials and interview.
